If you are the home- cooked type, I think you probably already know how delicious and useful olive oil is when used in the kitchen. But the benefits don’t stop there! Olive oil has this little antioxidant called polyphenols that actually protect your cells from damage. Olive oil, when mixed with salt, can also be used as an acne scrub, helping to cure your skin of those aggravating red bumps! The ancient Greeks even used olive oil in their hair, making it shinier, and more flexible. It can even help sagging skin! Olive oil contains Squalene, which improves skin’s elasticity while the rest of the oil moisturizes to give you a delicious, youthful glow. I am a sucker for a simple olive oil lip balm! We’ll have one on the site soon.
To break it down a little, olive oil…

Olive Oil is readily accessible, and used in so many ways! Did I mention it's also one of the main ingredients in our soap? I like to keep it simple, and love making luxurious cocktails for the body using stuff we all know and already adore. Stay tuned as I breakdown some of our other favorite ingredients in future blogs.
